Port Monster – our experience for your project

We have developed our own software that gathers the knowledge from many decades of successful race engine building in our database and puts it to work for the targeted development of your cylinder head. We named this software "Port Monster".

Port Monster combines real engine geometries with empirical reference values and engineering calculation models. Among other things, we look at displacement, bore and stroke, target power, rated engine speed, brake mean effective pressure (BMEP) and mean piston speed.

From this we derive target cross-sections for intake and exhaust and examine how the minimum cross-sectional area (MCSA), free valve seat areas, valve diameters and valve lift work together. To compare geometric flow figures, we assume a uniform volumetric efficiency (VE). This lets us compare different engine concepts on a common basis.
