Flow Bench Optimization

The foundation for the optimal design of intake and exhaust ports is working with a flow bench. Our Superflow SF600E lets us precisely measure gas flow at a defined pressure differential. This allows a precise evaluation of port geometry before and after machining.

Why is the flow bench so important?

  • The difference between a good port and a poor one is often so subtle that it cannot be detected without a flow bench.
  • A port's looks or size only play a secondary role – what counts is its actual flow performance.
  • Many visually appealing ports are, at best, suitable as display pieces, but not for use in a high-performance engine.

Our approach

With the Superflow SF600E, we test the flow characteristics of cylinder heads every day and evaluate the effectiveness of prior modifications. This iterative testing ensures your intake and exhaust ports deliver the maximum in power and efficiency.

Our flow bench optimization is the key to taking every cylinder head project to the next level – for results that impress both on the racetrack and in everyday use.
